Crostyx Hockey Club - an introduction Crostyx Hockey Club was formed in early 1920. At that time the population of the Woodford area was rapidly increasing as was the number of men and ladies wishing to play hockey. A local Woodford club existed but was unable to take on the numbers involved, so a second club was formed. The name Woodford seemed somewhat uninspired and thus the name Crostyx was born! Crostyx Plays and Trains at Peter May Sports Centre (formerly Wadham Lodge Sports Ground), and has its Social Club based at Woodford Wells Club. Join Crostyx!
Crostyx is always on the look-out for new members, both Men & Ladies. If you like your hockey with an active social element and regular games at all levels then we could be the right choice.
